Religion has been the preferred punching bag of the arts
for quite some time. Certainly there have been a lot of
good reasons for this. But religion has also produced, and
been the patron of, a lot of good art. Lest we throw the
baby out with the bathwater as we're distractedly biting the
hand that once fed us, we offer this, an artifact of a
faith that believed in something bigger than ourselves.
